Rams executive unveiled

The University of Regina Rams unveiled their new executive Friday.

Larry LeBlanc was elected president of the Rams, who left the PFC after the 1998 season to join the CIAU as the U of R's representatives. They'll begin play in the CWUAA in the fall.

LeBlanc, who moves up from first vice-president, did most of the legwork as the Rams looked into the move to the university ranks.

"One new role (of the president) will be the liaison with the university; that was not there before," said LeBlanc, a 45-year-old attorney with the firm of MacPherson, Leslie & Tyerman. "But in large part, it's still the same job."

LeBlanc replaces Thomas McCord, who's now the past-president.

Rick McCullough moves from second vice-president to first vice-president, Sheldon Stener goes from secretary to second vice-president and Gary Treble comes on to the executive as secretary. Dean Picton remains the treasurer.
